Latinissimo unstoppable - 2011 NZ Salsa Championships Auckland, 19 November 2011 - The 2011 New Zealand Salsa Championships was held at the AMI Netball Center in St Johns, Auckland. Latinissimo dancers came out in full force with 33 competitors entering in total. After months of reherasals, preparation, sweat and tears, Latinissimo managed an incredible 9x Gold medals, 2x Silver medals and 4x Bronze medals! The competition this year had many more categories than in previous years giving dancers of all levels and ages a chance of becoming a New Zealand Salsa Champion... and indeed Latinissimo dancers took every opportunity! Giancarlo & Masha - 2nd Place @ The US Salsa Open Oakland, CA, USA, July 14, 2013 Over the weekend of 12-14 July, professional Salsa dancers and Latinissimo representatives; Giancarlo & Masha who also reached the semifinals on TVONE's New Zealand's Got Talent, took it upon themselves to be first ever New Zealand representatives at one of the largest Salsa dance competitions in the World. Latinissimo's Salsa Ladies A-Team was the only team representing Auckland at the competition. The ladies entered the Salsa Teams category taking out 1st Place among teams from across New Zealand. 4th Place @ World DanceSport Games
Giancarlo & Masha rank 4th @ WORLD DANCESPORT GAMES Kaohsiung, Taiwan, September 18, 2013 Giancarlo & Masha were sole New Zealand representatives @ the World Dance Sport Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. With full sponsorship from the IDO (International Dance Organization) and (KOC) Kaohsiung Organization Committee they entered the "Caribbean dance" category which include Salsa, Bachata and Merengue. Only one couple per country is allowed to enter - 15 countries were on the start list for this particular category. At first there were 18 entries, however 3 did not make it to the competition due to different complications. Read More -

Brisbane, AU, Saturday 30 November 2013 Over the weekend 29 November - 01 December 2013, the Australia & International Salsa Solo Championships took place in Brisbane Australia. Giancarlo & Masha 3rd @ World Salsa Summit Miami, Florida USA, February 8, 2014 Giancarlo & Masha represented New Zealand at the World Salsa Summit & Global Salsa Championships in sunny Miami, Florida in the USA. However, they were not the only ones representing NZ this time. Giancarlo & Masha brought with them Latinissimo's Men's Salsa Shines Team to participate in the Male Shines Team category. The team consisted of Bob Hela, Dharshana Ratnayake, Juan Sandoval, Hohua Diamond and Giancarlo was also part of the team. Read More
