Joined Latinissimo 2006

Tania was born and raised in Auckland and started dancing at the tender age of 4... and NEVER stopped!

She is a core member of Latinissimo and is Asia-Pacific Amateur Salsa Champion and 3x undefeated New Zealand Amateur Salsa Champion. Tania comes from a very structured dance background and turned to Latinissimo in 2006 looking for that same way of learning within salsa. He family just loves dancing, her Mum and Dad competed and represented NZ, won numerous competitions and taught Ballroom and Latin American for 17 years. "No wonder I became a dancer...!" She says and laughs!

Tania was living in UK for two and half years and did no dancing at all, but instead experienced other parts of world and travelled. She got into salsa dancing when she got back from the UK 3 years ago, and needed to get involved in something with dance again. She heard about salsa nights at Diablo in Ponsonby back then and went along for classes and social dancing. A month later she met Alyx, at a social event and the rest is history. Alyx and Tania competed together until 2010.

Currently, Tania works as a Customer Service Manager at ASB Insurance Servcies.
