Brenda Meyer

Joined TEAM Latinissimo 2009

Brenda was born in Whangarei and is a Libra. This young lady is incredibly passionate about all kinds of performing arts!

She auditioned in mid 2009, and was considered to joint TEAM Latinissimo already back then, however Brenda had long time travel plans to Europe right in the middle of the training period so it was not possible to invite her to join. Later that same year at the NZ Salsa Nationals after she returned to NZ, she saw the team perform and was very keen to join. Luckily there was another audition coming up and this time it was all good to go!

Brenda has been dancing salsa on/off for almost 2 years and has an extensive dance background. She started dancing at the age of 5 with ballet and jazz. Later on went on to cheerleading and then did Ceroc for a few years. Today its all about salsa! She is a high school teacher and teaches Dance, Drama and English. Something you may not know about Brenda is that she drives all the way from Whangarei to Auckland for each rehearsal with TEAM Latinissimo - now that's dedication!

After joining Latinissimo's performance team and representing New Zealand at the Sydney Salsa Congress, she has been invited to join Latinssimo's A-team and is currently in training for new challenges... just the way she likes it!
