Alison is probably one of the most positive and happiest team member! She just brings a ray of energy and smiles every time she walks through the doors at Latinssimo!

Alison was born right here in Auckland in the sign of the Cancer. She only started salsa dancing just prior to joining Team Latinissimo. She tried a salsa class and met former Latinissimo team member Beth, whom introduced her to Latinissimo... and the rest is history.

Alison dance background includes 4 years of ballet, 4 years of Jazz and 1 year of Tap. She has peformed before with jazz and ballet and received the Most Improved Tap Dancer Award. After auditioning for Team Latinissimo, she was invited to join Latinissimo's "CHARLIE" Team (C) to perform at the New Zealand Salsa Congress. For this team she needed to learn and perform 4 different styles - A freestyle intro, Cha Cha, Bachata and Salsa. Yes, Alison was thrown in to the deep end straight away... which she handled just fine after attening several courses at Latinssimo.

How has your experience with Team Latinissimo been;

"-It has only been a couple of months and I have learnt soooo much! I feel as though I have known my team for years! Been through the highs and lows and made awesome friends, and achieved more than I thought possible!!!"

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time with your salsa dancing?

"-Continue to learn and improve, do more teams - keep challenging myself to do more and achieve more!"

Alison works as a Learning Delivery Advisor (facilitator) in Auckland. She loves adventures, in fact she once jumped out of an aeroplane at 10,000 ft! She is a qualified beauty therapist, loves animals and people and next, she wants to get a diving certificate. You can catch Alison peforming with her new team Latinissimo's "ECHO" Team (E).
