Latinissimo unstoppable - 2011 NZ Salsa Championships
Auckland, 19 November 2011 - The 2011 New Zealand Salsa Championships was held at the AMI Netball Center in St Johns, Auckland.
Latinissimo dancers came out in full force with 33 competitors entering in total. After months of reherasals, preparation, sweat and tears, Latinissimo managed an incredible 9x Gold medals, 2x Silver medals and 4x Bronze medals! The competition this year had many more categories than in previous years giving dancers of all levels and ages a chance of becoming a New Zealand Salsa Champion... and indeed Latinissimo dancers took every opportunity!
Giancarlo and Masha have done it once again! This time claiming 1st place in the Professional division at the 
& Masha traveled nearly 20,000kms, literally to the other side of the planet to represent New Zealand at the 2011 Swedish National Salsa Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. This competition would be one of the most siginificant competitions to date for Gian specially as it is his home country and home town...
What a great weekend it was for Latinissimo dancers! Over the weekend - Saturday 16 October - the 2010 New Zealand Salsa Nationals were held at the Telstra Clear Events Centre in Manukau. Latinissimo dancers dominated the competition by securing 4x placing in the 5 categories, an unprecedented achievement - once again!
